We are looking for an ambassador for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as a Receptionist. The ambassador should an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experience for our guests and developing a wonderful team.
Job Description
Our Ambassador will:
- Assist in the day to day operations of the Front Office department including greeting guests, assisting with car, hotel doors, guest luggage, lobby services and security functions, ensuring that standards are maintained in these areas, efficiency evident and customer’s needs met and expectations exceeded.
- Provide quality service to the customer by responding to their requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during check-in, check-out and throughout their stay.
- To develop, discipline, counsel and supervise the team members to become more effective and efficient.
- To assist and guide the front office team throughout their daily duties and responsibilities. To ensure that each tasks were being done and completed thought out the shift. To help them out with cashiering problems.
- Supervise daily shift process ensuring all team members adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Maintain control of guest and hotel accounts ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis.
- Maintain strict security procedures with credit and cash transactions, accounting procedures, issue of room keys and guest confidentiality in line with PCI and Privacy compliance.
- Operate switchboard effectively, handling all calls promptly and professionally, greeting all callers according to Accor policy and transfer all calls to relevant departments responding to requests quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain communication channels between Hotel guests and all Hotel departments both verbally and in writing as required.
- Document accurately all internal and guest messages. Distribute according to specified Hotel procedure
- Maintain control of guest and hotel accounts ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Full New Zealand Drivers Licence with a clean driving history is a bonus
- PMS - Opera or Opera Cloud
- Strong presentation and organisation skills
- Ability to work in the fast paced environment and be proactive
- Previous hotel or administration experience
- Positive bubbly personality
