Receptionist - The People’s Place
Who are we: Since 1988, Everton in the Community has become a dynamic force for good, harnessing the unifying power of football to drive social change and addressing societal challenges across Liverpool City Region. Supported by a team of over 130 full-time staff and over 200 volunteers, the independently governed and independently financed charity offers an extensive array of more than 60 programmes and initiatives that tackle a diverse range of social issues. These programmes cover areas such as health, employability, anti-social behaviour, crime, exploitation, education, dementia, and disability.

About the opportunity: We have a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist to join our Everton in the Community Team, covering The People’s Place.
As receptionist you will be the face of Everton in the Community, the first point of contact for visitors to The People’s Place; greeting, providing advice, information and assistance to our diverse visitors. You will also provide administration services as and when required in support of the wider use of the People’s campus, across the People’s Campus.
You must have a real passion for delivering exceptional customer service, no matter what the situation, as well as assisting with the day to day co-ordination of all other activities and room bookings within the buildings of which you will operate.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • To be the first point of contact for customers, participants and staff visiting the campus, greeting all visitors and dealing with enquiries giving a first class level of customer service, building rapport and relationships with customers, staff, visitors and participants, and ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
  • Working closely with The People’s Place Manager to ensure awareness of the support programmes and activities that are being delivered within the remit and ensure a seamless pathway for members of the community accessing The People’s Place
  • To support the People’s Place Manager in administrative activities related to the buildings CRM system, supporting referrals into The People’s Place and managing the administration of online consent forms for people attending
  • With the support of the Facilities Manager, to undertake the daily opening checklists, ensuring the building is fit for operation
  • To ensure that equipment is available for participants using any of the facilities and to ensure equipment is returned and effectively stored, as required.
  • Managing the booking systems for activities that take place within the building and proactively work alongside the other Receptionists to work collaboratively when required
  • To interact with colleagues from other departments within EitC, and wider Club colleagues, to ensure good working relationships and delivery of ‘Nil Satis’ customer service

Who we are looking for: Essentially we are looking for an individual who is driven and motivated with a commitment of providing excellent customer service and is able to demonstrate a proactive “can-do” approach to work.

Other key Knowledge and Skills will include:

  • Mental health Awareness Training and/or a willingness to work towards this
  • Highly Computer literate (with excellent abilities on Word, Excel and ideally Database knowledge and application)
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who places high value on attention to detail
  • Ability to anticipate and prioritise diverse workload, managing work, time and resources cost-effectively
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to build rapport and positive relationships with all levels of an organisation
  • Experience of dealing with customers face to face and over the telephone

This role may require the successful postholder to work occasional weekends and matchdays.
This role will be offered on a permanent basis
