Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Student in Environmental, Natural or Soil Sciences Diploma or Degree program (must return to school in the fall)
  • Understanding of Phase 1, 2 and 3 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)
  • Working knowledge of Alberta Environment Criteria and Guidelines
  • Experience with Wetland Assessment is considered an asset
  • Experience in Upstream Oil and Gas remediation and reclamation is an asset
  • Experience with weed control considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Available to travel throughout Alberta
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license

JOB DUTIES:

  • Preparation of technical reports including borehole logs, data tables and figures
  • Soil and water sampling
  • Environmental monitoring of subsurface conditions
  • Conducting site investigations and remediation programs such as drilling and excavation projects
  • Field work throughout Alberta though there may be some exclusively office based positions available depending on the workload
