Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Student in Environmental, Natural or Soil Sciences Diploma or Degree program (must return to school in the fall)
- Understanding of Phase 1, 2 and 3 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)
- Working knowledge of Alberta Environment Criteria and Guidelines
- Experience with Wetland Assessment is considered an asset
- Experience in Upstream Oil and Gas remediation and reclamation is an asset
- Experience with weed control considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Available to travel throughout Alberta
- Valid Alberta driver’s license

JOB DUTIES:
- Preparation of technical reports including borehole logs, data tables and figures
- Soil and water sampling
- Environmental monitoring of subsurface conditions
- Conducting site investigations and remediation programs such as drilling and excavation projects
- Field work throughout Alberta though there may be some exclusively office based positions available depending on the workload
