Description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The RTT Specialist (Recording Section) performs specialized clerical work, under supervision, involving a variety of office and clerical duties related to the recording and indexing of a wide variety of legal documents into the official records. Duties are carried out within a framework of established statutes, ordinances, regulations and divisional policies and procedures. Considerable public contact is involved.
Performs office functions which include scanning documents into a database; defining document types, determining taxes due, indexing parties to the document, collecting fees and taxes; reviewing scanned documents for quality control; processing the return of recorded documents to submitters using appropriate methods; reconciling cash drawers; and redacting confidential information from documents pursuant to Florida Statutes.
Works under close to general supervision according to set procedures but determines how or when to complete tasks.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Requires six (6) months of data entry, customer service and office support experience.
