Description:
JOB OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Recreation Supervisor to manage our recreational facilities and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors. This role combines leadership, aquatic management, and community engagement, making it vital to the success of our recreational programs.
Compensation: $30-34/hr
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or equivalent.
- Previous experience in recreation management, pool operations, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to pool and recreational facility operations.
- First Aid/CPR certification is required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to swim and perform rescues in emergency situations.
- Capacity to lift at least 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks associated with facility maintenance.

Responsibilities:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing Recreation Staff: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate recreation staff, ensuring a high standard of service and safety.
- Overseeing Health and Safety Standards: Implement and maintain health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Standardizing Water Chemistry Testing: Conduct regular water quality tests and standardize procedures for water chemistry testing to ensure a safe swimming environment.
- Pool Equipment Maintenance and Cleaning: Oversee the maintenance and cleaning of pool facilities and equipment, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.
- Ordering and Inventory: Manage inventory of pool supplies and equipment, including ordering necessary items to maintain operations effectively.
- Staff Scheduling and Payroll: Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and manage payroll for recreation staff.
- Arranging Community Events: Plan, coordinate, and promote community events and activities to enhance community engagement and facility usage.
