QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Some relevant experience/education, in administration, scheduling, staffing, recreation, fitness or

programming.

  • Previous experience in a supervisory position and in achievement of administrative tasks is

considered an asset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven self-starter, problem solving skills, organized and takes initiative.
  • Satisfactory criminal record check and clear vulnerable sector search and 3 satisfactory

professional references.

Responsibilities:

ROLE: RECREATION SUPERVISOR

Wage: $20.00/hr to $23.00/hr
Benefits: 8% vacation pay, YMCA Membership, Paid sick days, Full Benefits Package, Annual

Hours: Permanent Full-time 30-40hours/week, occasional evenings and weekends
Location: Integris Community Centre, Vanderhoof

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE:

  • Coach and support the staff team to provide and develop quality YMCA Recreation Services.
  • Ensure YMCA programs and experiences are safe.
  • Maintain and contribute to an enthusiastic and positive work environment.
  • Send Marketing updates about new activities and schedules.
  • Build and maintain relationships with different community groups and organizations.
  • Support the planning and attend community events, while representing the YMCA.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to delivering a 5-star customer service experience.
  • Maintain all applicable YMCA policies and procedures.
  • Manage user group bookings, schedules and invoicing for the centre.
