Job Description

  • They work on a daily basis in coordination with Director of Recreation to ensure the delivery of the best Recreational standards for the guests
  • Operating costs are efficiently controlled within department
  • Activity class programmes are successfully conducted on a regular basis including; Personal training, Yoga
  • They ensure a minimum par stock of guest amenity items are on hand at all times
  • They ensure cleanliness of all recreation spaces and coordinate with housekeeping teams accordingly
  • They help to establish policies and standards of the Recreation Department in the hotel and ensure adherence to at all times
  • They give support and assist the senior managers to monitor and coordinate operational responsibilities
  • They carry out necessary audits in the department and complete daily inspections
  • They anticipate guests needs and acknowledge and responds immediately to guests concerns
  • They possess full knowledge of emergency procedures and adhere to hotel requirements for internal or external guest accidents and emergencies
  • They have knowledge and understanding of the physical operation of the Health Club, Swimming pools
  • They are fully aware and work in accordance with the Standard Operating procedures, normal Operating procedures and Emergency action plan for the department
  • They ensure that all equipment and furniture is clean and well maintained and that all hazards are repaired or removed from operation
  • They assist in other areas of the hotel as and when required, carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • They comply with the guidelines and policies established in the Colleague Handbook, Business Code of Conduct and Ethics policy, hotel’s regulations on fire, hygiene, health and safety
  • They maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene as per the hotel’s grooming standards at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1-year experience in Recreation Supervisor role within the hospitality industry
  • Lifeguard leadership experience
  • First Aider/ CPR – First responder

Responsibilities:

  • They actively support the participation in all Human Resources and Learning & Development related initiatives, including but not limited to recruitment, job chats, performance dialogues, learning initiatives, colleague reward and recognition programs
  • Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures Manual
  • Maintain inventory of supplies for the operations of the recreation department
  • Maintain accurate records as required by hotel and government regulations
  • Attend weekly/monthly facility operations departmental communications meeting
  • They consolidate and review periodic inventories, of the Recreation department along with the senior department managers
  • They attend and contribute to meetings, department and hotel trainings and other scheduled activities
