Grande Prairie, found in northwest Alberta, is a growing city with over 60,000 residents and serving approximately 260,000 people in the trading area. Grande Prairie has something for everyone! Outdoor and indoor recreation opportunities are available at the numerous parks and golf courses, in addition to a state of the art recreation facility. The city also has a vibrant arts and culture community with an art gallery, a few museums, and live theatre. Your opportunity is to work in an award winning trans-disciplinary program providing specialized stroke care in the client’s home. As our recreation therapist, under supervision from the Clinical Coordinator of the Stroke Early Supported Discharge Team, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of recreation therapy assessments and treatment for clients referred. Treatment is provided within the trans-disciplinary model, with an emphasis on Client and Family Centered Care. Two trained assistants support implementation of programming.
