SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-years experience in Human Resources or Recruiting preferred.
  • Post-secondary education is required.
  • Automotive experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written English) and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the appropriate hiring managers to determine selection criteria for each open position
  • Build bench strength through professional development, succession planning, and succession management
  • Source quality talent through targeted active and passive recruiting efforts (i.e. resume databases, cold calling, references, referrals, interviews, print media, online, etc.)
  • Work with hiring managers to create and develop effective recruitment marketing campaigns including, multi-channel advertisements, hiring events, career fairs, and targeted job programs
  • Conduct screening interviews and provide hiring manager/s with candidate summary information
  • Provide coaching to hiring managers on interviewing, candidate feedback and selection
  • Consult with hiring managers to ensure the best qualified candidates are selected for positions based on skill set, experience and cultural (company) fit
  • Facilitate distribution of offer letters, coordinating background checks, and ensuring all necessary new hire documentation is completed and compliant with company policies
  • Facilitate new hire orientation activities, onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Attend hiring events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the HR Manager
