POSITION SUMMARY:

Position: Recruiter - People Culture
Type: Fulltime
Location: Fort McKay, Alberta, Head Office

Schedule: 40 Hours per week. Monday to Thursday (Alternating Friday) - Hybrid Working Schedule

  • This position is local to the Fort McMurray Region.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Diploma/ Certificate in Human Resources studies and/or RPR designation is considered an asset.
  • 2 or more years of direct recruitment experience in a high-volume capacity.
  • 3 or more years of Human Resources experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with Hiring Managers and potential candidates in the course of the work.
  • A high degree of confidentiality is required.
  • Experience with Technical Trade Recruitment recommended.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to frequent changes.
  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Good understanding of employment standards.
  • Applicants must have the ability to speak, read and write fluently in English.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Recruitment Coordinator – People and Culture utilizes our applicant tracking systems and works closely with community stakeholders and First Nations to actively solicit candidates qualified for specific vacant positions within our organization. The Recruitment Coordinator will have a think outside of the box mentality when sourcing new applicants and will facilitate career fairs and recruitment drives throughout the year. They will work closely with the hiring managers in reviewing candidate’s job experiences and competencies to find the best suited candidates for the required roles. As the first point of contact for potential hires, the Recruitment Coordinator serves as an Ambassador for Bouchier throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive experience for candidates. The position entails high-volume, full-cycle recruitment so the incumbent must be able to multi-task and adapt to changing deadlines, remaining tactful and professional throughout the process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with Site Management and Supervision teams to identify prospective staffing requirements.
  • Preparation and publication of advertisement notices to source and pre-screen qualified candidates.
  • Review candidate inventories and contact potential applicants to arrange pre-screens and interviews.
  • Conduct and participate in the formal and informal interview processes.
  • Supporting successful candidates through the hiring process until they arrive on site.
  • Source candidates via multiple avenues and facilitate career fairs.
  • Preparation and extension of job offers.
  • Provide direction to applicable candidates on the terms and conditions of employment, specific pre-employment requirements for the role and benefits and pension plan offered
  • Communicate with Site Managers to arrange transfers, re-deployment and placement of internal personnel.
  • Arranging testing, training and orientation
  • Identifying, reviewing and advising on tasks related to recruitment process and employment strategies to meet human resources requirements.
  • Undertaking quality checks of selection and recruitment processes and reports.
  • Data entry on Navision, BambooHR and various spreadsheets.
  • Electronic filing and record-keeping duties.
  • Developing and maintaining welcome packages.
