PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (NOT REQUIRED BUT BENEFICIAL):
- Experience in recruiting for multiple locations within Atlantic Canada or the Automotive Industry.
- Proficiency in French and English, or another language, would be a great asset.
- Experience working in employer branding or collaborating with marketing teams to enhance recruitment efforts.
- Automotive industry experience or knowledge.
- Experience utilizing an HRIS system, with UKG experience being an asset.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Managing the full-cycle recruitment process for a variety of positions across the organization, from initial sourcing to onboarding.
- Using our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to effectively track candidates, maintain recruitment workflows, and ensure a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Coaching and supporting hiring managers by guiding them through recruitment best practices, helping them understand candidate profiles, and ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Representing Steele Auto Group at recruitment events, job fairs, industry events, and community initiatives, promoting our brand and building strong relationships with potential candidates.
- Conducting pre-screening interviews and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, ensuring we select the best fit for the team and company culture.
- Completing reference and background checks to verify candidates’ suitability for the role, maintaining a high standard of due diligence.
- Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices throughout the recruitment process, ensuring we attract and hire a diverse workforce that reflects our values.
- Collaborating with the recrutiment team to develop recruitment marketing strategies, ensuring Steele Auto Group is well-positioned as an employer of choice.
- Building talent pipelines and proactively sourcing passive candidates, ensuring that we always have access to top talent for current and future needs.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:
- A degree in Human Resources or 1+ years of working experience in a recruitment setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage with candidates and hiring managers.
- A sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
- The ability to work in a dynamic, results-oriented environment where you can adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A valid driver’s license, as travel to events or other locations may be required.
