Description:

If you like the idea that your work will help source the very best talent for one of the UK’s Best Law Firms to Work 2024 and provide the best recruitment experience to candidates and hiring managers, then this role is for you!
You might not have worked in an in-house Recruitment team before. You might not have worked in a HR Team before. But you’ve definitely applied for a new job before!
So, do you remember a time where you had a great experience? Perfect communication and positivity throughout? Everything about this 12-month maternity cover role is centred around getting that experience for every candidate and hiring manager, every time.
What do I need?
You are known for your organisational skills and are comfortable effectively managing multiple vacancies at one time. You can communicate well and are comfortable speaking with candidates as well as internal stakeholders at all levels. You know what a good process looks like, and you can offer ideas and changes on how we can improve and streamline them.
You are IT literate and are confident that you can pick up new systems, whether that’s working out the best hiring strategy with the support of our Recruitment Business Partner, sourcing suitable candidates from multiple platforms or devising a job advert on LinkedIn.
You can manage multiple tasks at a time, always meeting deadlines and asking for help if needed.
You will already have previous agency or internal recruitment experience whether within legal or wider professional services, that enables you to pick up new tasks.
What will I be doing?
If you like variation in your work, then there’s opportunity to be involved throughout the whole recruitment journey. You’ll be supporting the wider Recruitment team, who are responsible for recruiting and onboarding all new starters at all levels across the firm. We also oversee projects such employer brand, social media, D&I, graduate recruitment campaigns, internal promotions and occasionally support developmental workshops, so there’s plenty to get involved with!
You will use our Applicant Tracking System, HRIS, LinkedIn and other resourcing platforms alongside posting on social media, liaising with universities to promote graduate opportunities, and arranging a timely interview process with hiring managers so support HF find the very best talent.
You’ll manage and develop internal relationships through strong communication and partnering across all areas of the recruitment life cycle, working alongside the Recruitment Administrator and People Operations team and wider on-boarding team to ensure a smooth candidate experience.
Above all, you will work closely with all members of the People Department, assisting with candidate communication and ensuring they have a smooth journey between recruitment and onboarding.
This is what the hiring manager, Claire, say about the role;
“This role offers real variation. We need someone who can bring their recruiting skills and take it to the next level. They will be getting involved in a variety of tasks, whether that’s sourcing talent for our legal teams, building campaigns on social media, speaking to our partner universities, or helping
to ensure a smooth internal promotion process. We need someone who believes every candidate deserves the best experience when applying for a new role and can help us deliver that to every candidate, every time.”
What’s in it for you?
We are not your stereotypical law firm. We offer flexible working and have a relaxed dress code, you can be yourself at work. We offer hybrid working and flexible working hours.
We continue to place a firm emphasis on investing in our people, we are always looking to invest and grow our people.

We’re always looking to recognise and reward our people for the work they do. Here are just a few of the benefits you’ll have access to, as part of our team:

  • 25 days’ annual leave (in addition to public holidays)
  • Eye Tests
  • Company pension scheme
  • Life insurance and income protection
  • Income Protection
  • Employee Assistance Programme & Digital GP service

  • HF Discount Hub
