DESCRIPTION:
As an integral member of the People and Culture Team, the Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist is responsible for recruitment, onboarding and general human resource support for the establishment and implementation of a range of professional human resource services and strategies, by building partnerships with business units to support Outback Stores business objectives.
Key Accountabilities
Recruitment
Manage recruitment campaigns for attracting talent (active and passive) on various platforms, including social media, job boards and internal company website.
Drive proactive souring of talent pool and brokering to support operational objectives.
Lead the end-to-end recruitment activities including screening, assessment, selection, and contract negotiation.
Provide high quality recruitment services to Line Managers, including human resource guidance, talent review, onboarding management and updating of position descriptions.
Facilitate the coordination of contracts of Employment and letters confirming variations to contract for candidates.
Onboarding
Lead the onboarding process, providing essential information, coordination of training, and support to new employees, to ensure all hires meet Outback Stores rigorous compliance standards.
Ensure new employee paperwork is received and the applicants’ details are sent to the Payroll Coordinator for entry into the payroll system.
Liaise with the Payroll Coordinator and assist in maintaining accurate and complete new employee and Human Resources records.
Ensure compliance to company’s recruitment policy, including personal data privacy regulations.
Conduct employee offboarding exit interviews for continuous improvement.
General Support
Provide payroll administrative support as required.
Actively participate in and contribute to ongoing review and development of policies, procedures and operational strategies.
Provide timely, high-quality reports and other written communication for a variety of audiences;
Maintain confidentiality in line with the Code of Conduct and comply with all Outback Stores Policies and Procedures.
Any other task as directed by the General Manager People and Culture.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
Desired Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Human resources or other relevant discipline.
Hold (or able to obtain) Working with Children’s Check and National Police Certificate.
Current unrestricted driver’s licence
Expertise
Three plus years previous experience in the delivery of recruitment and onboarding services at an operational level.
Experience in working in a large volume/ face paced environment.
Sound understanding of recruitment and onboarding ‘best practice’, in recruitment techniques, including sourcing, interviewing and candidate assessment.
Working knowledge of relevant employment legislation relevant to WHS, Industrial Relations, and Equal Employment opportunities.
Ability to contribute towards the development and implementation of Human Resource programs and initiatives to meet the needs of the organisation;
Experience in supporting and coaching the business with the implementation of major change initiatives;
Familiarisation with competency-based frameworks and selection processes;
Well-developed computer literacy skills within a Microsoft Office Suite environment.
