Description:
Queens County Residential Services is currently seeking an individual for the position of the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator to play a pivotal role in attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent. This position, as part of a team, will focus on recruitment strategies, retention initiatives, and supporting employees through their journey within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in HR or related field, or equivalent experience;
- Working toward HR certification preferred;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Experience in recruitment and retention strategies, including candidate selection;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills;
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion;
- Positive, professional attitude with a flexible, resourceful approach;

Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and refining recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates;
- Manage the hiring process from job postings to interviews, reference checks, and offer letters;
- Onboard new hires, ensuring all paperwork is completed and orientations are conducted smoothly;
- Develop and support employee retention initiatives, ensuring high employee satisfaction and engagement;
- Maintain accurate records of hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations;
- Track and assess turnover rates, recommending strategies for improvement;
- Collaborate with leadership to implement programs that support long-term employee growth and development;
- Support retention-focused training programs and assist in tracking employee participation and feedback;
- Track training needs and organizing training schedules and programs;
