About the team
Our HR team partner with the business to provide advice and guidance, as well as driving continuous improvement across our three offices in the areas of culture, learning and development, talent management and reward.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Requirements are for a proactive Recruitment Assistant with at least 2 years’ recruitment and HR experience, to provide support to a dynamic team within a fast-paced environment, across our 3 sites. The flexibility and confidence to take on a range of different tasks on a daily basis is essential.

Knowledge

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and CV databases
  • Previous experience of full-cycle recruitment practices is essential
  • Knowledge of the rail industry would be beneficial

Responsibilities:

ROLE PURPOSE

To provide comprehensive support to the Head of Talent Acquisition, HR team and wider business to ensure recruitment and administrative processes provide a consistent and positive experience internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Format role profiles and create compelling adverts that position Porterbrook as an employer of choice
  • Post adverts on our applicant tracking system, internally and job boards as required, ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Screen candidates received through all sources and conduct initial screening calls with all suitable candidates
  • Share screened candidates with hiring manager along with screening notes
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers, candidates and recruitment agencies
  • Support with first and second stage interviews, ensuring that the best candidates are selected based on Porterbrook’s technical, behavioural and values-based interview framework
  • Keep in regular contact with candidates and hiring managers throughout the full recruitment process
  • Liaise with the Comms team on recruitment and early careers related posts, to ensure value added intranet content
  • Support the new starters process ahead of confirmed start date and conduct first week check in calls inline with the probation review process
  • Ensure induction slides are up to date and revise as needed
  • Assist with general recruitment queries and manage the recruitment and HR training inbox
  • Create and manage talent discussion documents to share with the wider business
  • Schedule talent discussion meetings and reschedule as needed
  • Support the contractor process by actioning leaver forms through SigniFlow
  • Support with early careers recruitment and administrative related activities as required
  • Coordinate work experience opportunities with relevant departments
  • Support with recruitment and talent project work as needed, including diversity and inclusion and initiatives to strengthen our Investors in People accreditation
  • Support the HR department with Signiflow forms
