OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

Allnorth is looking for an HR/Recruitment Coordinator to cover a 1.5 year maternity leave position. This position is based out of our Sherwood Park office. The successful candidate will work closely with our construction and commissioning teams to fulfill manpower requirements, organize the deployment of skilled candidates to projects and manage our internal candidate pool as well as the onboarding process.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL NEED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or related discipline
  • 3 or more years of experience in a similar role considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Detail orientated with strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint
  • A high degree of initiative and resourcefulness
  • Ability and willingness to learn new databases and applications quickly.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Creating and uploading job postings using online recruitment websites
  • Accurately entering new employees’ information and job information into Dynamysk’s internal database
  • Generating offer letters
  • Issuing and processing new hire packages
  • Handling confidential information on a regular basis
  • Working closely with the HR Department to ensure efficient set-up of employees for payroll and benefits purposes
  • Arranging Drug and Alcohol Testing
  • Issuing PPE and maintaining the PPE database
  • Coordinating safety training and maintaining employee training records
  • Creating a training matrix for each project and uploading employee training tickets to SharePoint
  • Managing travel arrangements as required
  • Processing layoffs and completing termination paperwork as necessary.

PERFORMING GENERAL RECEPTION AND OFFICE ADMINISTRATION DUTIES:

  • Answering incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally and directing them to the appropriate individual
  • Greeting visitors and answering inquiries
  • Monitoring office supplies and ordering when required
  • Ordering project related supplies, including PPE
  • Coordinating with couriers and collecting and distributing mail
  • Filing, faxing, and photocopying paperwork
  • Maintaining Reception, Photocopier and Kitchen areas
  • Formatting resumes in the company database
  • Creating purchase orders and receiving packing slips using Microsoft Dynamics
  • Responsible for company credit card purchases
  • Working with IT to get employee laptops set-up
  • Organizing staff appreciation activities to improve office morale
