Description:

Job Description: The Recruitment & Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in the HR Department addressing matters such as recruitment, personnel management, benefits, payroll, employee engagement, and retention functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
  • Publish vacancies through multiple media sources.
  • Source candidates through various channels such as job boards, media, networking, and employee referrals.
  • Filter resumes, perform initial interviews, and coordinate interview schedules for hiring managers.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job descriptions required to identify the best talent for their departments.
  • Manage, update, and submit a monthly recruitment progress report.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration:
  • Process payroll ensuring that employee paychecks are accurate and on time, including withholding taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
  • Manage employee benefit programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
  • Communicating benefit information to employees and updating them on any changes.
  • Onboarding and Orientation:
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including completing documentation, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth organizational transition.
  • Employee Engagement and Retention Initiatives:
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Brand Manager to identify gifts and corporate branding initiatives to foster employee engagement and retention. This includes assisting in obtaining quotes, identifying quantities per station, overseeing distribution to stations and employees, and maintaining a corporate inventory of items at each station.
  • Assist the Marketing and Brand Manager and the Regional HR Manager in defining budgets and monitoring expenses incurred for employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Assist the HR Manager in ensuring that all stations effectively use the assigned budget and carry out employee engagement and retention activities (e.g., Monthly station breakfast or lunch, celebrations, anniversary recognitions, etc.).
  • General HR responsibilities:
  • Collaborate in ensuring that Job Titles and Supervisors are adequately entered and updated in Directory Manager.
  • Promote a positive work environment and foster employee engagement and morale.
  • Assist in compiling and analyzing HR metrics as needed.
  • Assist in generating reports and documentation as needed for HR processes.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information systems (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

Education and Experience:

  • An associate’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Prior related office experience preferred.
