QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A college diploma or degree in Business Administration, or the equivalent education and experience is required
  • Proven experience in recruitment, ideally within the health care industry or a similar field
  • Experience in labour relations and unionized environments considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Recruitment Specialist, you will play a critical role in attracting, sourcing, and hiring health care professionals across a variety of roles, including nurses, personal support workers, administrative staff, and various non-health related positions. You will act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, ensuring that our recruitment strategies align with our organizational goals and commitment to quality care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, develop detailed job ads, and define role requirements
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, networking, and referrals
  • Screen resumes and applications, conduct initial interviews, and shortlist qualified candidates
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, negotiating offers, and supporting onboarding
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline for key positions to support future hiring needs
  • Establish strong relationships with schools, colleges, and professional organizations to attract new talent
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, workforce challenges, and market conditions to inform recruitment strategies
  • Partner with HR to ensure alignment between recruitment and company policies, values, and diversity goals.
