KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manages the full recruitment cycle from sourcing to offer
  • Meets with hiring managers to develop recruitment plans for each supported program and department
  • Posts both internal and external positions as requested from hiring managers
  • Conducts resume screening, and telephone screening interviews
  • Coordinates and schedules interviews for hiring managers
  • Leads and participates in interviews alongside managers or independently when needed
  • Communicates with managers about candidate’s progress in the recruitment process
  • Processes required clearances such as, criminal background checks, references checks, and education verification when needed
  • Consults key stakeholders, (such as hiring managers, other members of the people and culture team, and the leadership team), in suggested recruitment best practices
  • Works closely with the People and Culture leadership team in establishing the strategy, and roadmap for recruitment
  • Initiates recruitment process improvement to best support growing recruitment needs
  • Maintains the Applicant Tracking System, ensuring information is up to date
  • Manages the organizations reference check system
  • Implements marketing and recruitment strategies through research to maximize candidate reach
  • Participates in relevant job fairs, conferences, workshops, and learning opportunities
  • Apply Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives to recruitment and sourcing of candidates
  • Prepares various reports on recruitment efforts; analyse recruitment related data
  • Communicates via email, phone, and social media with candidates
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the recruitment plan
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Five years work experience in a recruitment-based environment, preferably in the Social Services sector
  • Demonstrated commitment to a high level of customer service
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the Lower Mainland (from Vancouver to Abbotsford)
  • High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong communication skills (listening, verbal and written)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to successfully complete a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Records Check
  • Ability to successfully pass a reference check
  • Covid-19 Vaccine

Responsibilities:

The Recruitment Specialist will be Connective’s recruitment expert. This position will partner with members of the People and Culture Team to ensure day-to-day recruitment operations are managed effectively to support the organization’s growing team. This position will be promoting and implementing strategic recruitment practices to attract and retain successful candidates through market research, social media usage, and other best practices.
