ABOUT OLDS COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE & TECHNOLOGY

Founded in 1913, Olds College of Agriculture & Technology has been offering high quality hands-on education for over a century. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

  • Two or more years of experience in a post-secondary environment, with a preference for recruitment or admissions.

Business Management Experience

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience in recruitment, selection, and performance management.Proven ability to analyze and interpret data to support recommendations for change; ability to move from ideas to implementation.
  • Experience with budget management, recruitment metrics and data analysis preferred.
  • Ability to execute a strategic plan, and to assess and analyze achievement of results.

Analytical skills including problem-solving, data and needs analysis.

  • Takes ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work commitments. Follows organizational guidelines, professional standards, policies and principles. Demonstrates reliability and integrity on a daily basis.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment; a creative and resourceful problem solver.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively within tight timelines and competing priorities

Communication and Collaboration

  • Strong networking abilities and experience developing and cultivating relationships with organizations and individuals.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to present effectively to groups large and small.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with empathy, understanding and respect of diverse and divergent perspectives and behaviours.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to navigate difficult and complex conversations with students, faculty, and staff.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is required to work some evenings and weekends, and requires extensive travel time.
  • Olds College representative at all times and shall conduct themselves accordingly.
  • Current Criminal Reference check that is free of any offenses.
  • Must respect and actively promote health and safety policies.
  • This position is expected to be knowledgeable of and follow College travel and expense policies.
  • A valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
