QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven track record working in a senior talent lead position with high volume recruitment a distinct advantage.
- Competent experienced people manager able to lead and motivate a team is an essential requirement of the role.
- Proven track record in creating a comprehensive well-structured onboarding process through familiarising new employees with their roles, organisational culture and ensuring a seamless transition into their role.
- Proven track record of increasing responsibility in recruitment and talent management successfully identifying strong leaders, successors, talent pipelines and using data to drive the effectiveness of the services.
- Proven experience in diagnosing organisation capability requirements, outlining a strategy, and translating this into a practical execution plan.
- Ability to create order from ambiguity & willingness to roll up sleeves to directly solve problems, operates with a sense of urgency, conscientious, attention to detail and “can do” attitude.
- Is an excellent and creative collaborator with the ability to grasp issues quickly and work on the right things at the right time.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent written & spoken English.
- A relevant level 8 degree or equivalent qualification is preferred or professional membership of CIPD (MCIPD /FCIPD) is desirable.
- Possess a full clean driving licence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of HR Information systems, e.g. Rezoomo.
- Recognise the equal rights of people with an intellectual disability in society and uphold and respect those rights.
TRAVEL
The person appointed must provide his/her own car and must furnish an indemnity from Insurers in favour of the employer. Travelling expenses at the appropriate rate will be paid in respect of travel necessarily performed in the discharge of duty and in accordance with our Travel Policy. The travel base for this purpose will be primarily Kilcornan House, Clarinbridge, Co. Galway. This may be subject to change in the future.

Responsibilities:
The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland West Region employ in excess of 1,900 staff providing services to over 2,000 adults and children with an intellectual disability across counties Galway and Roscommon.
The Recruitment & Talent Manager (post holder) will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, development and retention of top talent within our Service. This role ensures alignment between workforce planning and organisational objectives, while fostering a culture of growth and employee engagement. The Recruitment & Talent Manager will be responsible for the recruitment and talent function of the BOCSI West Region, the leadership of this function and the management of the staff members that comprise this function. The post holder will be responsible for leveraging a talent team who together keep our talent practices alive ensuring they’re delivering talent for growth.
- The post holder should be flexible in their approach to service delivery and should have the ability to contribute positively towards the on-going development of effective teamwork.
- The post holder is required to be familiar and work within any other statutory regulations and guidelines to include Code of Practice, Appointment of Positions within the Civil Service/ Public Service which place obligations on the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland.
- In particular, the post holder will be familiar with the work within SI No. 367 of 2013, “Health Act 2007 (Care and Support of residents in Designated Centres for persons (Children and Adults with disabilities) Regulation 2013” and the Health Information and quality Authority (HIQA) Standards of July 2013.
