Choice People are seeking a Refrigeration Engineer/Technician for a leading company specializing in precision air handling equipment. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to design and develop advanced cooling systems for critical environments such as telecommunications, edge computing, and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage refrigeration component selection, piping design, prototype build, and testing for a range of advanced cooling products.
- Design and specify components, including fixed and variable capacity valves, VFD-driven compressors, and piping systems, to meet rigorous product specifications.
- Conduct capacity tests by installing prototypes in controlled environments with known loads to validate cooling performance.
- Assist in creating technical documentation, such as datasheets, information leaflets, and instruction manuals, to support product sales and operations.
- Develop and document piping and wiring requirements to prepare products for production.
- Perform end-of-line testing on production equipment, ensuring quality standards are met and components function correctly.
- Collaborate with software teams and equipment vendors to guarantee system integration and optimal performance.
- Complete site commissioning, including creating method statements and risk assessments as required.
- Apply lean principles to enhance processes and drive continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Requirements:
- Qualification in HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in the design and development of refrigeration/HVAC systems, including component sizing and selection.
- Hands-on project management experience, preferably within the HVAC sector.
- Attention to detail for design and Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
