MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric
• N3 with the subjects Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Trade Theory
• Red Seal Trade tested artisan
• Minimum 3-5 years field experience in Industrial Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration
• Previous experience in Commissioning and Servicing chilled water HVAC Plant installations in the Industrial Manufacturing and Pharmaceutical Sectors.

• Understand the working principles and operation of air-conditioning systems.
• Understand the working principals and operation of chilled water systems.
• Understand electrical wiring diagrams, schematics and P & I Diagrams.
• Ability to fault find and trace HVAC mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
• Accept travelling country wide for short periods of time to commission and service HVAC installations.
• Ability to persevere and put in extra hours if necessary.
• Inspection of electrical and hand tools
• Working at elevated position
• Following safe hot work practices (cutting, grinding, drilling, tacking, jacking)
• Determine correct PPE to be worn for a specific job.
• Able to complete job risk assessment.
• Good housekeeping practices
