Description:

YMCA International Services is a unique center of the YMCA of Greater Houston that delivers client-centered programs to refugees, immigrants and other vulnerable populations to advance their economic independence, social integration and civic participation. The Y helps newcomers restore hope, build stability, create opportunity, and change futures. The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for creating a quality assurance program, ensuring that it is in line with other program’s quality assurance programs, and ensuring that all ARHP files are compliant with both the funder’s and the Center’s standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Knowledge of/and previous experience with diverse populations; cultural sensitivity.
  • Highly self-motivated, responsive and a good trouble-shooter.
  • Bachelor degree or years of equivalent experience.
  • Fluency in refugee-specific language preferred but not required (Languages include Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Swahili, Spanish, Kinyarwanda, Burmese & Rohingya)
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License; clean driving record; own transportation; applicable auto insurance.
    Note: All positions are filled in response to current refugee arrivals and their language needs; as language needs change, this will necessitate flexibility in our staffing

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain quality assurance program to ensure program files are up to date with funder requirements
  • Ensure funder required file documentation is complete and accurate for all department files
  • Work with staff to ensure requirements are adhered to; provides training where needed
  • Responsible for tracking, correcting and reporting of identified compliance questions, issues, audits and monitoring using a developed program
  • Ensure all funder reported findings are corrected and responded to timely
  • Accountable for findings during funder audit/monitoring
  • Assist program director in monitoring the performance of the department when it comes to funder audit and monitoring
  • Prepare and submit monthly reporting for the department
  • Perform quality assurance calls to clients
  • Report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations
  • Follow mandated abuse and incident reporting requirements
  • Meet timelines and deadlines related to supporting systems and employee compliance. Example includes but is not limited to Kronos Workforce Ready to review and submit own time sheet.
  • Complete other duties assigned to entire ARHP team (group trainings, group outings, & large client events)
  • Complete other duties as assigned including participating rotating schedule for food pantry and airport pickups.
