Join the Refugee Resettlement team as a Training and Compliance Coordinator. The Training and Compliance Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of services delivered through the Refugee Resettlement Program. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs for staff as well as monitoring compliance with funder requirements and program regulations and standards. This position requires a combination of exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, cross-cultural communication abilities, and a strong commitment to the success of the Refugee Resettlement Program.
TheExpertiseWe’re Looking For
- Bachelors degree in social work, Education, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in training and compliance coordination, within refugee resettlement or human services.
- Valid Texas Drivers License

- You have strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by refugee populations.
- You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- You have excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- You have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- You have knowledge of refugee resettlement policies and procedures is desirable.
- You have proficiency in one or more languages spoken by refugee populations served by the program is an asset.
What you Deliver
- You develop, coordinate, and facilitate training sessions for staff on cultural competency, trauma-informed care, and best practices for refugee resettlement including program policies, guidelines and grant requirements. Create and maintain training materials, handbooks, and guides to ensure consistent knowledge sharing.
- You organize onboarding programs for new employees to ensure familiarity with organizational goals, compliance standards, and program requirements.
- You create and maintain effective procedures for tracking department and grant-required trainings, including assessment and follow-up processes to ensure staff engagement and continuous knowledge improvement. Conduct training needs assessments and tailoring sessions to address gaps in skills or knowledge among program staff.
- You develop materials for team-building activities, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- You collaborate with Program Leadership in developing and implementing quality control procedures and program initiatives to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of program services along with enhancing service for the clients.
- You regularly review programs activities, documentation, and client interactions to identify areas for improvement. Collect feedback from refugees and stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of cultural orientation and quality control efforts.
- You collaborate with program staff to address any quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- You maintain accurate and up-to-date records of training and compliance activities, ensuring documentation meets compliance with internal and external standards.
- You collaborate with program leadership to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement improvements based on feedback and performance data.
- You contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve program operations and client outcomes, ensuring alignment with program goals.
