Job Title: Regional Branch Manager
Location: Varies
Status: Full-Time (40 hours a week, some Saturdays required)
Reports to: Executive VP
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years of branch experience.
Interpersonal skills that influence and motivate staff
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Responsibilities:
POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for delivering exceptional service to both internal and external members by identifying their financial needs and recommending appropriate Credit Union solutions. This role involves overseeing the planning, organizing, and providing indirect supervision of branch staff while guiding Branch Managers to achieve a strong growth plan through relationship development. As both a leader and a coach, the Regional Manager sets a positive example in both actions and attitude, reflecting the standards expected of all staff members. Additionally, the Regional Manager serves as a mentor to Branch Managers, fostering a team that demonstrates outstanding leadership, communication, employee relations, and operational skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Exhibit outstanding member services skills by applying Granite Credit Union Service Standards and Core Values.
- Assess branch processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for improvement. Review branch staffing needs and make appropriate recommendations.
- Coordinate and implement staff development initiatives, including scheduling, coaching, training, and professional growth. Collaborate with branch managers and staff to support their advancement and proficiency in their roles.
- Provide ongoing support to branches, offering guidance on daily operations and processes. Monitor service quality and proactively address any issues. Recommend and coordinate the implementation of new policies and procedures to enhance member service.
- Facilitate physical changes to new and existing branches, and assist with the opening of new locations.
- Collaborate with branch managers and the COO, establish service levels, operational targets, and budget goals. Monitor progress and follow up to ensure goals are met.
- Work closely with the Human Resources and Training Director on hiring, scheduling, training, and developing branch managers and staff.
- Identify and address substandard performance by counseling staff, encouraging input for corrective actions, and monitoring for improvement. Collaborate with the Human Resources Department to initiate disciplinary action, including termination if necessary.
- Serve as a key resource for mentoring and training in all areas of branch operations.
- Handle high-level inquiries and resolve complex member issues.
- Promote a professional appearance and attitude.
- Basic computer operating skills such as email, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attend meetings as required.
