ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience/working knowledge in the MICE industry for at least 7-10 years as a Head of MICE
  • Fluent in English and German. Written and verbal language skills are essential.
  • Deep knowledge of the DACH territories and what it can offer in terms of MICE services.
  • Influential, able to guide stakeholders and team members.
  • A track record of delivering results and managing a team to achieve targets.
  • A strong network of clients and suppliers in MICE industry in DACH Region
  • Passionate about their job and the fast-paced event industry
  • A natural curiosity for the hospitality environment and the passion to share their enthusiasm & knowledge.
  • Strong team management abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm in delivering outstanding results.

  • The ability to run several different events in parallel and manage a wide range of third parties.

Responsibilities:

We have an exciting opportunity for a MICE Business Manager DACH Region to join the MICE team Switzerland. The candidate will be responsible for team management (Team of 15), Operational oversite and management and developing the thriving business inbound and outbound in DACH.

  • Driving the MICE strategy for DACH, challenge the status quo and develop the brand across the territories.
  • Create, plan, and deliver large-scale events for a variety of foreign clients across the year.
  • Manage a team of 15 ensuring standards are met and the team are performing.
  • Developing business with new and existing clients
  • Market mapping, ensuring we are aware of changing market dynamics and keep an edge over competition.
  • Stakeholder management, the candidate will need strong sales and influencing skills.
  • Proposal creation and pitch, when required.
  • Supplier management prior, during and after the event
  • Negotiating with third parties to maximize value creation.
  • Client and account management to ensure repeat business.
  • Onsite management of the event
  • Budget management of a large budget and post event reconciliation
