Regional Business Lead

Currently we are hiring for a: Regional Business Lead - Western Canada
This position is remote
The Regional Business Lead (RBL) leads one of three regional teams in Canada and is responsible for the strategic direction, sales growth and strategy execution with retail customers in the region. The Regional Team consists of all customer-facing roles within that region. Direct reports include Account Managers, and indirect “dotted line” reports include Customer Support Specialists, Market Development Managers, and Agronomists.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- University Degree in Agricultural or Commerce/Business Management or related field with a minimum of ten years progressive work experience. Experience in agriculture industry is essential

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and/or governmental regulations and apply insights in support of the WFU Canada business
- Ability to effectively present information, address questions or concerns, and engage in productive dialogue with company managers and leadership, employees, customers, and the general public
- Ability to write clear and effective reports, business correspondence and other similar written communications in support of WFU Canada objectives
- Strong reasoning ability with demonstrated success defining problems, establishing facts, gathering data, and drawing valid conclusions; includes appropriate people in decision-making process and makes timely decisions

Responsibilities:
- Lead a regional team that consists of customer-facing roles withing the region.
- Develop and oversee the execution of a regional strategy that addresses the unique needs and opportunities of customers within that region.
- Work closely with other Regional Business Leads as part of the Canadian Sales Leadership Team.
- Lead and support the Account Management team within the region.
- Lead Account Manager execution of all Distribution and sales activities with retail customers in the region, including but not limited to:
- Customer demand creation, business planning and forecasting, coaching, reconciliation execution and customer account payments.
- Develop and achieve regional revenue and expense budgets.
- Advise on the development of customer offers and lead their deployment.
- Advise leadership on tools and support materials required for effective execution.
- Establish relationships and maintain communication with key manufacturer contacts.
- Work closely with Product Line Managers, Customer Support Lead, and Agronomy Lead to ensure alignment and effective communication between teams.
- Conduct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include: interviewing applicants; having required pre employment and post-employment paperwork completed; training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work and product delivery; proactively addressing employee issues; and resolving problems.
