About us
Diageo is embarking on an exciting and significant Business Transformation Programme underpinned by SAP S/4 HANA. Through this programme, Diageo aims to drive process and data standardization and simplification. This programme will be delivered over a multi-year period with global geographic reach.
The Change Management Tower is part of the Voyager Programme with the strategic objective of transforming Diageo’s business capabilities, leveraging data & digital technology, to create a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Diageo is therefore seeking a Voyager Global Change Manager who is an experienced senior practitioner in Change Management to identify and help articulate the Voyager vision for Change and lead regional and local teams to transition and adopt new ways of working. This experience will include delivery involving cultural change, shift in mindset, functional & process change to transition to new ways of working underpinned by ERP technology.
Purpose of Role
The Regional Change Manager will work with the Global Change Team and business nominated Change Network to build a coalition for Change, comprising stakeholders and the Change Network. They will lead, engage and motivate this network to translate global change impacts into local Change Impact Mitigation activities to successfully make the transition to new ways of working. The Diageo Regional Change Manager will be supported by the Global Change Management Team as well as IBM change management team.
This will be achieved by working with the Regional Deployment Lead and the Global Change Team (comprising Change Management, Communications & Stakeholder Engagement and Learning & Adoption), third-party service providers, Regional Deployment Teams and the Business Change Network, Programme Leadership team and business stakeholders.
The role must have a deep understanding of ‘Diageo’ and its nuances and be able to finesse the processes to achieve defined outcomes. The role will require the individual to scope and define a transformation approach within the region work with relevant capacity and transform towards a defined standard global process. This individual will also be responsible for managing the change management aspects within their region including executing the global standard change communication program, crafting key change messaging, and measuring adoption as a result of the overall change program

KEY Accountabilities

  • Operate as conduit between the Global, Regional and Local Change Teams to deploy regional and local Change Management activities.
  • Manage and support the regional and market change teams with the planning and delivery of localised Business Readiness activities such as Change Impacts Mitigation and Change Network Activities (Subject Matter Expert (SME) engagement and upskilling).
  • Support regional and market stakeholders for engagement and localised communication cascade and launch.
  • Lead specific change activities and events – manage stakeholders, plan & cascade comms, run change impact assessment activity, understand local personas and educate as required for role mapping activity.
  • Support regional and market role mapping activity for deployment user provisioning.
  • Support regional and market change readiness assessments and action planning.
  • Interface with Global Team, calling upon SME and Global Change Management Team support as required.
  • Facilitate meetings and local sessions for adjusting change content where needed.
  • Lead the regional change readiness activities for go live for change management.
  • Interact with key stakeholders, support the change champions in their regions, conduct change management activities, create presentations, content and represent the program.
  • Work with Regional and Local leadership to shape and mobilise effective Change Team onboarding and education.
  • Amplify global stakeholder engagement plans and assets to build strong local advocacy.
  • To tailor and localise Voyager messages to ensure resonance and acceptance by our markets.
  • Identify and track key issues related to adoption, change, and resistance and understand regional and market concerns (and resistance) and share with Global teams for solutioning and targeted support.
  • Drive visibility for and understanding of Global Business Operations initiatives with key stakeholder groups including: employees, businesses and programs, partners and suppliers, functions and process owners.
  • Act as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor.
  • Dual-hat as a Global Change Management Team member on multiple activities, especially as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications and experience required

  • Degree educated in relevant business or subject.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills and ability effectively convey business impacts to various audience groups to achieve alignment on change impact mitigation actions.
  • Ability to lead employees through organizational changes and delegate roles to the right people and to motivate employees to fulfill their roles in Change & Adoption.
  • Have a clear vision for the organizational change.
  • Effective communication skills to be able to deliver the key change messages.
  • Ability to influence others.
  • Project management skills to evaluate the change and determine how to keep it on track.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and ability to deliver high-quality communications in compressed timelines.
  • Proficient in using a variety of tools to develop plans and communications content (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Yammer, Teams, etc.).
