Description:
BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE TOMORROW
BAM Nuttall are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Regional Commercial Manager who can strengthen our existing team, delivering large civil engineering projects across Scotland. The projects are predominantly within the energy infrastructure sector, building new substations and HVDC converter stations to support Scotland’s transition to net Zero. You will initially be based in our area office in Kilsyth (Glasgow).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective communications with the Framework Director, commercial managers, project teams, and Divisional Commercial Manager.
- Prepare management reports for presentation to the senior leadership team.
- Address staff matters, including succession planning, recruitment, development, attitude and behavioural issues, competency, retention, and staff allocation.
- Provide commercial contact with key supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting, and input to subcontract documents.
- Ensure audits are carried out and provide feedback to the business.
- Provide commercial input to contracts with clients and, if necessary, client’s representatives.
- Regular meetings with the clients’ senior representatives and building relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external).
- Provide commercial advice to commercial managers regarding all project issues and input to area commercial discussions/reviews.
- Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy.
- Provide input to dispute identification and management.
- Produce and negotiate insurance claims with insurer’s representatives.
- Agree terms and engage legal and commercial consultants and monitor their accounts.
- Carry out sub-contract document vetting and input to sub-contract documentation
