The People team plays a crucial organisational role in Shopee by channeling important resources to key functions in the company. People are key to Shopee’s growth, and as our business expands, so does the need to develop and support our employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Develop strategies, policies and guidelines for the roll-out of the compensation and benefits initiatives across the region
  • Prepare communication toolkit and deliver effective communications on compensation and benefits policies and programs
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the initiatives and its related communications efforts by analysing data and feedback and developing continuous improvement actions
  • Review compensation and benefits policies and plans, ensuring that it is competitive and on top of market trends while maintaining internal equity and compliance
  • Manage salary benchmarking and proposal, compensation analysis, annual increment and bonus, long term and short term incentives, job grading, etc
  • Work closely with business leaders, HRBPs and multiple stakeholders, including senior management to manage compensation and benefit projects end-to-end
  • Research on industry best practices and synthesise data to assess feasibility of proposed compensation and benefits projects

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with minimum 3 years of relevant C&B experiences
  • Experience in in-house C&B role and/or as C&B/Rewards consultants at HR consulting firms such as Aon, Mercer, Willis Tower Watson is a plus
  • Strong business acumen, understanding strategy, organisational direction and how they impact tactical execution. Willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done
  • Strategic thinking: Quickly evaluates situations, combines strong business judgement and people intuition to reach well-founded decisions
  • Agility in leading multiple complex projects and pivoting quickly to changing needs/environments
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment while maintaining appropriate attention to detail and standards
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups including senior management
