We’re looking for a Regional Controller, Prairie Operations to join our team. This role provides financial and analytical support to our General Manager and Plant Managers, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. This role may be located in either the Vernon Office or in one of the Prairie-based Tolko divisions.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

Chartered Professional Accounting designation.
5+ years in senior financial management roles.
University degree in business or related field of study.
Strong knowledge of the forest industry, generally accepted accounting principles, external financial reporting standards, and management financial reporting in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
Proficiency in forward planning and project management.

Responsibilities:

Develop and empower your team to deliver results.
Participate in the development and implementation of corporate and operations strategic plans.
Ensure finance activities align with corporate strategies and company values.
Provide financial and analytical support to business unit teams.
Ensure adequate internal controls are adhered to.
Supply cost-effective and meaningful information on a timely and accurate basis.
Coordinate regional resources to achieve efficient delivery of accounting services.
Assist regional business units to work within approved forecasts and budgets.
Monitor key business indicators and develop action plans in support of regional goals.
Participate in the preparation and approval of Capital Expenditures for the region.
Prepare external and internal financial reports and analysis as required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
Be required to travel to support Tolko’s Prairie Divisions.
