Description:
We are in search of a Regional Controller to join our team in the manufacturing industry, located in Norton Shores, Michigan, United States. The role involves overseeing financial operations, participating in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial reporting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for strategic planning
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local financial regulations
- Lead and coordinate the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors as necessary
- Provide vital financial analyses and insights to support strategic decision-making processes
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date filing system for financial records
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems
- Manage cash flow and treasury functions to optimize financial performance
- Support management in M& A activities and integration of newly acquired businesses.
- Possess a minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role or related field
- Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems
- Strong understanding and experience with Accounting Functions
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems
- Able to manage and oversee the creation of the Annual Budget
- Knowledge and experience in Auditing processes
- Familiarity with Budget Processes on a regional scale
- Ability to handle Month End Close procedures effectively
- Proficient in Account Reconciliation
- Understanding and experience in managing Balance Sheets
- Ability to create and manage Journal Entries
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger management
- Experience in Inventory Analysis for financial accuracy
- Proficient in Job Cost processes and systems
- Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP standards and regulations
