Description:
Job Summary
In this role, you will join the IFF Custom & Trade Compliance team in the EMEA region supporting the Pharma Business. You will be responsible for the accurate and professional processing of all daily customs formalities and operations for our customs operations within EMEA. You will be the point of contact for import and export questions, provide advice on operational matters and support in resolving issues. Your goal will be to manage import and export activities to fully comply with local and global regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures in an efficient and effective manner.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure customs compliancy (AEO, CTPAT and applicable customs or agency licenses) for IFF related to the region/plants that you support.
- Lead point of contact for local and regional business on customs and trade issues / opportunities
- Lead and participate in complex projects to implement trade compliance programs and import and export operations.
- Oversee and communicate regulatory changes with the development of best practices.
- Scan emerging trade regulations to assess and communicate impact to IFF international trade operations.
- Provide overall guidance and training to the business and help them to meet regulatory requirements in doing business.
- Lead disciplined import and export operations by using right systems and processes and conduct self-audit programs.
- Identify, monitor, track and report customs, broker, export freight forwarder and savings metrics.
- Drive cost savings, especially in customs duty savings from FTAs, duty incentive and other programs
- Customs & Trade specialist at local level for solving operation disputes, identify root causes and set up action plan by working with external suppliers and (internal) customers.
- Represent the Global Trade team on critical projects.
- Lead cross functional projects on a regional/global basis in areas where Global Trade are expected to take leadership roles to support the organization.
- Customs broker management and KPI regular review
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Logistics or equal by experiences
- At least 5-year experience in import and export operation in an international company
- Capability to develop and apply statistical and computer skills.
- Computer skills covering MS Office, SAP and SAP GTS is preferred.
- Fluent English in speaking and written.

- MCTA (Manager Customs Trade Affairs)
