Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Consulting and support of our entities in the region
  • Provide legal expertise for Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Production planning, Purchasing, Business Modelling, Sales, Marketing, Finance at our entities
  • Provide legal expertise and consulting with regard to all Foreign Trade issues
  • Audit Management (external and internal) – setting up audit team and roles, conducting lessons learned process
  • Develop and initiate implementation and execution of Internal Controls for sensitive operations at our entities and follow-up their implementation
  • Monitoring of legal environment deviating from EU legislation
  • Implementation of legal regulations at our entities
  • Prepare binding rules for sensitive topics like customs valuation, customs procedures, etc. within regional customs governance function
  • Work towards and obtain Authorised Economic Operator status where requested
  • Ensure that all customs duty related work complies with the overarching Group Tax Policy
  • Represent Bosch at relevant trade body forums to remain up to date on requirements and opportunities
  • Hold regular meeting on potential risks and controls operations responsible in the region
  • Hold regular meetings across all internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear and communicated targets
  • Influence all stakeholders to deliver operational requirements and support Supply chain continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in law or business administration, educational background as a customs officer or completed commercial training with many years of professional experience in foreign trade. Or at least 5 years’ experience of specializing in customs, in-depth knowledge of customs regulations and legal framework
  • Minimum 5 years profound knowledge of customs law, foreign trade law and international trade agreements.
  • Experience in systematic risk management and in the application and implementation of free trade agreements, customs simplifications, duty advantages
  • Material experience of managing relationships with Tax Authorities and a deep understanding of customs requirements
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Skilled negotiator, communicator and relationship developer at multiple levels across multiple functions
  • Numerate, with good data handling and insight development ability, possess strong written skills (for example report writing) and advanced computer skills
  • Process oriented
  • Driving license is needed

Responsibilities:

MISSION OF THE ROLE AS REGIONAL CUSTOMS GOVERNANCE HUNGARY/ADRIATIC (SERBIA, CROATIA, SLOVENIA) IS TO:

  • Advise our business in the region and generate plans to mitigate the risks, take opportunities and other legislative changes
  • Ensure the business is constantly compliant with all relevant legislations and regulations. Monitor any changes to legislation are implemented throughout the business accordingly.
  • Provide customs expertise and perform governance function for customs operations

THE ROLE IS A CENTRAL, STRATEGIC, SUPPORTING AND GOVERNING FUNCTION FOR ACTIVITIES OF OUR ENTITIES:

  • Customs Import and Export
  • Special Procedures (e.g. inward processing, customs warehousing, transit forwarding)
  • Supply Chain Security
  • Origin of Goods & Preferences
  • Tariff Classification
  • Customs Valuation

THE ROLE SHALL BE:

  • Single window in the region for our local business, regional and central functions as well as service functions
  • Single contact to authorities and other regulatory bodies
