We are seeking a mission driven and energetic fund raising professional to solicit, implement and collaborate in all development efforts regarding major gift fund raising in support of Development Department strategies to assist in the overall LFCS mission.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or a related field. Successful candidates must be comfortable asking for large donations.
Two years’ of sales experience, preferably with fundraising for a non-profit and soliciting major gifts is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement identification and engagement strategies for assigned major gift, tax credit, and planned giving donors and prospects
  • Work in conjunction with the Development Director in all tax credit programs.
  • Support any fundraising efforts and donation opportunities with donors during Special Events.
  • Understand and integrate individual development efforts with the Development Annual Plan, the LFCS mission, and projects and prospects for specific fundraising campaigns.
  • Develop, maintain, and build upon strong relationships with and directly solicit support from donors, potential donors, participants and special event attendees.
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned major gift, planned giving, tax credit donors and prospects.
  • Identify and research local leads as a potential partner in support of our mission - locate local charities, companies (small and larger potential corporate sponsors) that could potentially align with the LFCS values & mission to grow our organization.
  • Share identified opportunities for growth, partnership, future development or fundraising ideas as we broaden our ever changing scope of development and fundraising during quarterly statewide development team meetings
  • Provide assistance to Development Director as requested as it relates to aspects of development, fundraising and donor relations.
