WE ARE HIRING and looking for an influential and experienced Regional Director of Operations for British Columbia. This role will be based in the lower mainland area of British Columbia.The role reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the Vice President with a consistent stream of industry and market feedback to assist in achieving the goals and objectives of the group
  • Accountable for the transportation activities including daily operational execution, negotiations, forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis
  • Maintain depth and breadth of understanding for the North American markets and provide regular updates to the Executive Leadership Team
  • Establish objectives for the organization, lead the development of strategic initiatives, and formulate or approve policies and programs
  • Develop and lead business development goals and new customer growth
  • Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the teams to ensure operational targets are achieved
  • Responsible for operational metrics and reporting, overseeing the budget and managing expenses
  • Responsible for optimization of resources by focusing on productivity, equipment utilization and service excellence
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external customers and vendors
  • Work and coordinate with internal and external teams/ departments, and communicate well with all parties involved
  • Hiring, training, motivating, and performance management including termination of all employees, owner operators and contractors.
