Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a position for a strong strategic leader with senior sales experience within the leisure, meetings, and events hotel sector. This newly created role for Argus Hospitality Group oversees the leisure, group, tour, meetings and events sales & marketing activities for the World Class Hotel Eldorado at Eldorado Resort, Manteo Resort at Eldorado Resort, Four Points by Sheraton Kelowna Airport, Hilton Hampton Inn & Suites Kelowna Airport and Home2 Suites by Hilton Fort St. John. The Regional Director of Sales, Revenue Generation & Marketing - is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, ensuring revenue maximization, supporting existing client relationships and building out new business sales & marketing opportunities for each of the group’s hotels.
This position is responsible for leading all aspects of Sales, Revenue Generation, Conference Services, Marketing & PR and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize sales, revenue, destination and product awareness through all segments.
Responsibilities:
Based out of the Eldorado Resort and reporting to the Director of Hospitality, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop and execute strategies to exceed defined KPIs within the Leisure, Tour Series, FIT, Group and Events market segments.
- Capitalize on the hotels and resort destinations natural strengths to evolve the hotel’s USP positioning for both wellness and lifestyle.
- Strategic oversight for all digital marketing activities including seasonal tactical and destination awareness plans for the properties and resorts, content creation and maximizing revenue opportunities using marketing and RM analytics. Initiatives will involve working closely with both third-party agencies and brand teams to ensure synergies amongst hotels/resorts/brand campaigns & strategies.
- Oversee portfolio’s digital presence and manage the hotels’ social platforms; participate in the development of the portfolio or collection?s online reputation strategy.
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge in Revenue Management, ensuring revenues/yields are maximized based on demand and growth requirements. Ability to maximize revenue during peak demand periods, while creating initiatives to drive demand during slow periods.
- Responsible for the development of new business for the hotels within each of the above subsegments, in addition to maximizing revenues and maintaining strong relationships with strategic key accounts.
- Capitalize on collaboration opportunities with key travel agency partners.
- Provide strong leadership, ongoing coaching, training and action plan follow up to promote individual and team development by way of:
- Create strategic business development sales & marketing plans for all segments.
- Create sales standard operating procedures to optimize efficiencies and revenue profitability.
- Collaborate with Sales & Revenue Management teams to determine quarterly strategies to optimize revenue opportunities via new initiatives to maximize both short- and long-term goals.
- Collaborate with marketing agencies and PR teams to maximize storytelling and marketing partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with partners to grow winter and shoulder season via itinerary creation and marketing support.
- Manage regional travel budget to maximize proactive sales opportunities, including timely follow up and trip reports.
- Oversee regional contracting and negotiation process.
- Oversee recruitment, retention and performance management of the sales and revenue management team.
- Research travel consumer trends to identify and capitalize on new opportunities via resort programming and itinerary creation.
- Maximize collaboration opportunities with DMOs & PMOs, to influence new geo market & air lift creation to drive new revenue sources for long-term growth.
- Lead communication with Global Brand Sales team and advocacy of hotel portfolio needs within Argus Hospitality Group. Maintain strong collaboration with brand Global Partners (Marriott and Hilton).
- Participation in industry trade shows and sales trips, hosting of key sites & BDTs to ensure strong sales presence while key clients are onsite.
- Provide consistent and clear communication to ownership and senior leadership.
