Description:
Now RPS are a TetraTech company, the significance of our London PCM team takes on new meaning. There is a large opportunity to grow our PCM services by broadening relationships with our sister companies, Tetra Tech, Hoare Lea and NDY, and growing a greater presence in the general London market. We are seeking to grow our team of 10 to over 30 in the next few years, and then significantly larger in the longer term. We are seeking a Regional Director level Project or Cost/Commercial Manager with proven experience in managing and growing a team of high calibre professionals in a Project and Cost Management business, delivering challenging projects from our London office.
You will take accountability for the performance of the London Project and Cost team, drive excellence in the delivery of our services, develop and implement a People Strategy to grow the team, govern the profitable delivery of a portfolio of projects, lead market strategies and work winning, and make a positive contribution to a high performing Project and Cost Management leadership team.
Our Project and Cost Management team are industry leading experts with an excellent reputation in delivering projects within all sectors of the built environment.
This role is a mixture of client facing work winning and team management and requires an in-depth knowledge of the London market, particularly in commercial, residential, aviation, rail and industrial projects.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- A proven leader in Project or Cost management who has overseen a similar sized business units or someone who is looking to step up from a similar background.
- Proven experience leading a team of employees with the ability to show significant growth in terms of people and profitable fee income.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to lead, grow and develop business.
- Someone with the knowledge of and relationships with the local market to understand it’s unique challenges and the ability to introduce new sectors and clients into the established team.
- Experience working with blue chip clients and influencing senior stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Strong technical and financial management skills to oversee a major business unit.
- Relevant professional qualification (F/MRICS, MAPM etc)
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining an effective culture within your team that retains employees and promotes and supports career development.
- Lead delivery of Project and Cost Management consulting services to our clients.
- Taking the lead on client relationships within the sector including delivery and work winning.
- Create service offerings aligned to market sectors and clients, including pricing, scope of services, and value positioning.
- Developing strategic plans to build and evolve RPS’ Project and Cost Management service offerings.
- Being the point of contact for Project and Cost Management in the Region for Senior Leaders within the wider RPS and Tetra Tech Businesses, being at the forefront of collaboration within a multi-disciplinary business.
- Develop and implement a people plan to include recruitment and retention for the region.
- Be accountable for managing and delivering all financial goals and metrics, including, pipeline, growth, revenue, gross margin, and utilisation.
