Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Education and Development, the Regional Education and Development Manager is responsible for executing innovative training programs to support operations. This position is also responsible for supporting training and operations initiatives within their region, which includes new restaurant openings (NRO), manager and team member development programs, MIT (manager-in-training) training programs, Certified Trainer Program This position is also responsible for acting as the liaison between the department and operations, becoming an expert on all aspects of Zippy’s Restaurants operations, training tools, and programs.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass drug screening test and background check
- TB Clearance
EDUCATION:
- College degree or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE:
- Successful restaurant manager experience (minimum of 6 months)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Work, PowerPoint)
- New restaurant opening experience preferred

Responsibilities:
- Validates in-restaurant training and provides timely feedback appropriately.
- Assists in writing, updating, and executing new training materials in accordance with Zippy’s standards and culture.
- Coordinates and assists with the training and implementation of new rollouts.
- Effectively partners with the Operations Directors to analyze operational and developmental opportunities and creates strategic regional solutions that support the field leadership teams.
- Assists in workshops/meetings using concept-approved programs to ensure consistency across all locations.
- Assists in the enhancement of and execution of training plans for Zippy’s new restaurant openings (NROs).
- Supports the certification of Excellence Restaurants and Certified Trainer Programs region.
- Tracks MIT’s in region (Orientation-90 days post certification).
- Provides hands-on support to maintain and improve operational excellence.
- Supports the Development of Managers within Region.
- Zippy’s Content Knowledge Expert > Zippy’s Recipes, Operating Standards, POS, Back Office system, Training Standards for Hourly & Management.
