We are hiring a Regional Managing Director to lead our business in South Africa. This is a pivotal executive role, leading business development and growth, increasing our market share, and delivering excellence to clients, aligned with Duke CE’s vision and brand.

KEY SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Business Development : Leads business growth, demonstrating a proven ability to win and close deals, while expanding an external network.
  • Leadership: Effectively lead teams, delivering measurable results through regular feedback, motivating a high-performance culture, and inspiring, supporting, coaching, and developing successful teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: Proven ability to build strong sustainable relationships with clients at C Suite level, showcasing strong client relationship management skills, and contributing to overall client satisfaction and success at a strategic level. Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Demonstrated skills in bringing forward creative ideas and implementing innovation in learning.
  • Personal Branding and Gravitas: Has a personal brand with measurable impact and projects confidence under pressure.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree required.
  • A proven track record with achievements such as an annual growth rate exceeding 8%.
  • Considerable professional experience in human capital or learning & development at a senior level.
  • Previous successful leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and win business with quantifiable results. Considerable experience in leading RFP processes.
  • Requires domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership - Inspire and lead the South Africa team, driving engagement, development and career opportunity.
Business Development: Develop a regional strategy and lead efforts to develop and grow institutional clients through strategic business development activity.
Marketing: Own regional marketing efforts, enhancing brand awareness with measurable outcomes, including execution against strategic marketing opportunities and representation at conferences.
Financial Performance: Drive regional growth, manage the P&L and deliver against financial targets
Operational Success: Implement processes and systems with measurable impact, ensuring alignment with global initiatives.
Client Management: Own, manage, and develop the relationship with key clients, ensuring excellent client experiences. Oversea successful project management and program delivery, acting as a point of escalation and resolving complex client issues.
Organizational Leadership: Collaborate across geographies, actively participate in global projects, and contribute to institutional thought leadership.
