Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regional Export Control Lead for the Asia Pacific region. This role involves the implementation and supervision of a robust network of regional and national export control officers, the deployment of global strategic policies in export control and sanctions law, and the issuance of directives in line with global standards. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for effective risk management and the definition of mandatory controls and checks.

  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive network of regional and national export control officers across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Ensure consistent communication and collaboration among all export control officers to maintain high standards of compliance.
  • Implement global strategic policies related to export control and sanctions law at the regional level.
  • Adapt and apply global policies to align with regional and national regulations and standards.
  • Issue national and regional directives that comply with global standards.
  • Ensure all directives are clear, comprehensive, and enforceable within the respective jurisdictions.
  • Establish and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Define and enforce mandatory controls and checks to ensure compliance with export control and sanctions laws.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business law, or a comparable subject.
  • Demonstrated expertise in export control and sanctions compliance according to EU, US, and applicable national laws.
  • 5-7 years of relevant working experience in the field.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with a track record of successfully leading teams.
  • Ability to effectively handle stress and perform under pressure.
  • Convincing and communicative personality with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to various stakeholders.
