Responsibilities:
- Develop the business plan (strategic plans and budgets) for the region with other Board members
- Ownership of the budgets and monthly forecasts for the business ensuring that they are accurate and well managed
- Review and challenge proposed land acquisitions including areas such as financial assumptions and VAT
- Lead and manage the Regional finance team ensuring accuracy, quality and efficiencies are maximised
- Ensure compliance with the Group Finance Manual and Limits of Authority
- Manage the half and full year finance process with external auditors for the BU including joint ventures
- Ensure that the key assumptions, risks and opportunities under – pinning the business’s and projects performance are robustly challenged, clearly understood and managed
- Oversee all weekly and month end processes and reporting for the region ensuring that all reporting is accurate and provided in accordance with the required deadlines
- Accurate and timely completion of returns to Group including, but not limited to, trading updates, budget packs, quarterly presentations, national statistics, salary reviews, bonus calculations
- Management of the Regional cash forecasts and working capital
- Attendance at Cost to Complete meetings ensuring appropriate challenge on forecasts and risks / opportunities
- Preparation / review of monthly finance board papers including attendance at Board meetings
- Preparation of quarterly review and budget presentations and attendance at the relevant meetings to present to the Partnerships Board
- Financial management of all joint ventures and provision of reports to the agreed timescales including forecasting, board packs, year end reporting / audit and attendance at Board meetings
