What’s on offer?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Finance Manager to join our leadership team in the Eastern Region Infrastructure Services business based in Campbelltown NSW. This pivotal role reports directly to the General Manager of Eastern Infrastructure Services and is essential for overseeing the financial management of our operations in alignment with company policies, legislative requirements, and budgetary constraints.
We’re seeking a technically skilled professional with a finance and/or commercial background in the construction and materials industry; with commercial experience a desirable but not an essential.
This is a hands-on role, working closely with our business leaders, spread across multiple locations in NSW therefore, some travel will be essential to be effective in this role.
Eastern Region Infrastructure Services business specialises in asphalt and spray seal operations, asphalt production, road maintenance, civil construction, bitumen blending and heavy vehicle transport.
Some of your key accountabilities will be:
- Lead the preparation and analysis of the annual budget, monthly financial reports, and forecasts to ensure accurate financial tracking and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives, drive profitability, and support growth across various portfolios.
- Manage and mentor a team across key financial functions, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and high performance within the finance department.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to assess project profitability, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.
- Ensure robust internal controls and compliance frameworks are in place to mitigate financial risks, safeguard company assets, and comply with relevant legislation and industry standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including project managers and operational teams, as well as external partners, to support effective financial decision-making.
How you’ll connect to the role?
We are looking for a technically capable and commercially focused finance professional who has held senior accounting or finance roles within the construction and materials industry. You will be strategically minded, CA or CPA qualified, and driven by career progression.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and develop strong working relationships, ability to understand drivers of business performance and demonstrated leadership experience within finance as well as proficiency in large and complex system environments will set you up for success.
