Responsibilities:
SOME OF YOUR SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES COULD INCLUDE:
- Develop and execute the UK strategy for the Cyber, Tech and Media portfolio within the framework of the global Cyber strategy
- Develop targeting strategy for new opportunities in Cyber, Tech and Media
- Manage a team of underwriters
- Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders (e.g. Underwriting, Operations, Actuarial, Finance, etc) to enable delivery of underwriting targets
- Underwrite large new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets
- Negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with brokers.
- Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and broker negotiations where necessary)
- Positively represent Allianz Commercial externally to the market
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Significant experience underwriting profitable business in the Cyber segment of large corporate international insurance
- Ideally you are CII qualified or equivalent or working towards it
- You have recognised relationships with clients and brokers at peer group level and are well established within the UK Cyber market
- You have a specialised understanding of regional / national Cyber insurance markets and the competitor landscape
- You are able to negotiate effectively achieving the best outcome for your portfolio while maintaining positive business relationships with your clients and brokers
- You are capable of leveraging data and analytics to make business more efficient and effective
- You have a good understanding of the legal and regulatory framework
- You can design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings for contracts
- Fluent English language skills
