REGIONAL HR BP (QUEBEC & ATLANTIC)

Job Summary:
The HR team is looking for a Regional HRBP for the Quebec and Atlantic Canada markets who will be responsible for providing support to the Field Leaders and delivering on all Human Resources initiatives. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, Quebec and Atlantic, the ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of the Quebec labour standards requirements. He/She will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end management of all HR-related matters, including the rollout of HR projects.
Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the Senior HR Manager, provide counselling to Field Leaders on how to handle associate relations issues, and act as an expert on HR processes and people practices;
- Support change management execution in the store network;
- Facilitate Sales structure optimization and people changes by participating in talent development in order to create and sustain an internal pipeline;
- Guide and support management teams in the application of our policies and procedures;
- Participate in the rollout of HR projects, processes, and/or corporate initiatives;
- Analyze and monitor key people metrics and develop needed action plans to improve talent development and retention;
- Support Field Leaders with compensation analysis, reporting requirements, and data analytics;
- Support recruitment strategies to network, source, and create a pipeline of candidates for high-level management positions;
- Participate in various investigations;
- Support Health and Safety initiatives, policies, and processes;
- Work closely with Payroll/Benefits to ensure compliance with the various processes;
- Monitor and ensure understanding and compliance with federal and state laws as well as company Human Resources policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree and/or college diploma, preferably in Human Resources or related field;
- 4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably within the retail environment;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Quebec employment laws, employee relations, best practices, and recruitment practices;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) in English;
- High level of adaptability and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, ever-changing environment;
- Creative and innovative approach;
- Travel required as per business needs (approximately 20% of the time);
- Excellent written and verbal skills;
- Strong computer skills (PowerPoint and Excel);
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
- Results-oriented and customer-centric.
