Title: Human Resources Business Partner (Empire Drywall and Star Mechanical)

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma, Certificate or Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management or Commerce.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Human Resources Business Partner, Generalist or similar role.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Comfortable using office equipment, Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Teams) and HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now or similar).
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) Designation or working towards is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Maintaining an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, mid-range plans, culture and competition.
- Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Conducting recurring meetings with respective Managers.
- Acting as an employee champion and change agent, providing HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Collaborating with Managers to identify applicable training for employees.
- Recruiting new hires, conducting interviews and making recommendations for short lists.
- Creating offer letters and ensuring all onboarding procedures are completed including all orientations.
- Conducting exit interviews for resignations and retirements.
- Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to Line Management.
- Ensuring employee documentation and records are maintained and updated in HRIS system.
- Supporting the Senior HR Business Partner with restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Ensuring service awards program is executed in accordance with company policy for the business unit.
- Assisting with day-to-day tasks relating to payroll and benefits administration
