Description:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Promotes the ADM Core Values and Code of Conduct
- Able to communicate with all levels of the organization
- BA/BS in Business, Human Resources or related field
- Current knowledge in the field of HR - current professional certification preferred
- 15-20 years experience in significant HR leadership role
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Experience in addressing people issues and creating/maintaining positive employee relations.
- Experience in labor negotiations, contract administration, grievance processing and/or union-free campaigns
- High degree of business ethics and transparency
- Knowledge of EEO and anti-discrimination laws
- Related Industry and Canadian employment law knowledge
- Bilingual, fluency in English and Québécois French (both verbal and written) is required.
- A spoken and written English is required for this position due to business transactions and communication with American and other Canadian partners

Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive consultation and direction to management in areas of employee/labor relations, performance management, training and development, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Organize and participate in selection and hiring process. Interview and screen applicants, provide behavioral interview training, recruit prospective employees, and coordinate searches.
- Prepare position descriptions, track employment requisitions and Affirmative Action Forms, and direct all aspects of pre-employment screenings, and conduct new hire orientation.
- Increase understanding and consistent application of ADM policies, procedures, and practices through training, coaching, one-on-one communication and policy interpretation.
- Observe and promote adherence to policies, regulations and Global standards.
- Primary contact for employees and managers to answer inquiries and provide general employee information including: benefits, attendance, performance reviews/evaluations and terminations.
- Strategically implement performance management, feedback and development process.
- Approve and process Performance Appraisals, Performance Improvement Plans and Career Development Plans.
- Participate in conducting training needs assessments. Provide input on priorities and overall recommendations.
- Represent management in investigating, answering and settling grievances and employee complaints of moderate complexity.
- Represent management in the analysis of employee misconduct and recommend appropriate disciplinary action where appropriate.
- Travel to ADM Canadian locations 25-50% of the time.
- Other duties as required.
