JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summerset is looking for a Regional Health Safety & Wellbeing Advisor based in Wellington or Christchurch. This role will be instrumental in partnering with the Operations Management Team to champion site health and safety strategies, policies and practices at Summerset villages. Reporting to the Group HSW Manager - Operations, you will cover our villages in the Lower North Island and South Island. You will bring your valuable experience to the team contributing to our Health & Safety vision of Safe People, Safe Process and Safe Places.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Facilitate and support the implementation of the H&S annual Improvement Plan
  • Ensure that compliance requirements are met and that the business is engaged in our Health & Safety vision
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with village managers and H&S representatives
  • Review all incidents recorded, and investigate if appropriate
  • Supporting villages with the management of injuries
  • Improve processes to ensure they remain effective and efficient to support business requirements
  • Build effective relationships, identifying and sharing best practice

QUALIFICATIONS:

Who we are looking for?

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role with relevant Health & Safety qualifications
  • Sound knowledge of NZ Health and Safety legislation
  • Ability to build strong working relationships
  • Ability to influence and create engagement
  • Meticulous attention to detail
