Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

WATT has a new opportunity for a Regional Lead to grow and develop our Civil team in Edmonton. The Regional Lead is responsible for the planning, design, and management of land development and municipal civil engineering projects. This includes overseeing project teams, coordinating with other departments as necessary, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The role requires advanced technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion.
The successful candidate will be involved in various civil projects and must have a proven track record that includes earning client trust and cultivating teams that deliver high-quality work. Additionally, you will be actively involved in business development activities to expand WATT’s client base and project portfolio.

Responsibilities:

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Planning, developing, and managing civil projects.
  • Attending, contributing to, and leading internal and external project meetings.
  • Engaging and working with clients and municipal and utility authorities to obtain approvals for projects.
  • Presenting technical material in innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Reviewing deliverables for accuracy.
  • Ensuring all engineering work is carried out in accordance with accepted industry standards, company procedures, and client expectations.
  • Coordinating with multiple divisions, to bring a multidiscipline and holistic approach to projects.
  • Staying current with advancements in civil engineering technology and practices.
  • Mentoring, leading, and supporting the development and growth of new team members.
  • Fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and productive culture.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Participating in local Professional Associations.
